Winter Spiced Syrup

A warm and aromatic syrup perfect for winter cocktails.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 star anise

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.
  2. Bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.
  4. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve and let cool.
  5. Store in a sterilized bottle in the refrigerator. It will keep for several weeks.
