Lemon Basil Spritz

A refreshing cocktail that captures the essence of a Mediterranean summer with lemon and basil.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 4 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 oz Prosecco
  • Soda water
  • Lemon wheel and basil leaf for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare a sous-vide bath at 135°F (57°C).
  2. Combine vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and basil leaves in a vacuum-sealed bag. Place the bag in the sous-vide bath for 1 hour to infuse.
  3. Remove the bag from the bath, strain the infused liquid into a shaker with ice, and shake until well chilled.
  4. Strain into a wine glass filled with ice, top with Prosecco and a splash of soda water.
  5. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a fresh basil leaf.
