Elderflower Syrup

A sweet and floral syrup perfect for spring cocktails.

Elderflower Syrup

🥄Ingredients

  • 2 cups of fresh elderflower heads
  • 4 cups of water
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced

📝Instructions

  1. 1Rinse the elderflower heads gently to remove any insects or debris.
  2. 2In a large pot, combine water, sugar, lemon slices, and orange slices. Bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. 3Remove from heat and add the elderflower heads. Cover and let steep for 24 hours.
  4. 4Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
  5. 5Pour the syrup into sterilized bottles and store in the refrigerator. It will keep for several weeks.
