  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cinnamon sticks

  1. 1Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and add the cinnamon sticks.
  2. 2Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.
  3. 3Once the sugar has dissolved, reduce the heat to low and let the syrup simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow the cinnamon to infuse.
  4. 4Remove the syrup from heat and let it cool.
  5. 5Strain out the cinnamon sticks and transfer the syrup to a clean bottle or jar. Store in the refrigerator.
