Autumnal Casablanca Martini
A classic Martini with a twist of autumnal botanicals, inspired by the timeless film 'Casablanca.'
Ingredients:
2 oz gin
1/2 oz dry vermouth
1 dash orange bitters
1 sprig of rosemary
1 twist of lemon peel
1 edible pansy for garnish
Instructions:
Chill a martini glass in the freezer.
In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine the gin, dry vermouth, and orange bitters.
Stir the mixture gently until well chilled, about 30 seconds.
Lightly bruise the rosemary sprig and add it to the mixing glass for a brief infusion, about 10 seconds.
Strain the cocktail into the chilled martini glass.
Express the oils from the lemon peel over the drink and discard the peel.
Garnish with an edible pansy floating on the surface.
