Ingredients:
2 oz bourbon infused with pumpkin spices
1 oz pumpkin syrup
1 oz lemon juice
Hot water
Cinnamon stick, for garnish
Star anise, for garnish
Instructions:
To make the pumpkin spice-infused bourbon, combine 1 cup of bourbon with 1 tsp each of ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger in a jar. Let it sit for at least 24 hours, shaking occasionally.
To make the pumpkin syrup, combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, and 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Strain and let cool.
In a mug, combine the infused bourbon, pumpkin syrup, and lemon juice.
